About
The Tooele County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is a county-based council created to coordinate and improve our local criminal justice system. CJCCs are authorized under Utah Code Title 17E, Chapter 2, and support locally led strategies for justice reform and recidivism reduction.
State law requires each CJCC to develop and implement a strategic plan that includes mapping criminal justice systems and resources, creating data-sharing plans, setting recidivism-reduction objectives, and strengthening community reintegration—connecting people with housing, employment, mental health and substance use services, and other county resources.
The Tooele County CJCC brings together local leaders—including county officials, law enforcement, courts, corrections, mental health, and victim advocates—to align efforts and improve outcomes for our community.
